Hey hey hey! It's my very first attempt at bloggin'. Then again... It's not exactly my first. I had another blog 'bout 2 months back, but it sort of crashed and burnt real bad... So here's my second attempt to start bloggin' again. Hopefully, it will last.
I've always wondered, why people blog? Is it an addiction, like... well, Friendster? I don't know. Honestly, you'd be surprised how some people out there will religiously check their friendster accounts every single day, rain or shine. Maybe it's just another way of letting the folks know that you are well and alive. Hmm... Oh well, what the heck...
Today's been just swell, I was over at Beatty Secondary School for an interview. Yup, it's goin' to be another classroom season over at some secondary school for me again. Kinda miss Peirce Secondary... Ha ha... But I got to make this work... Need dough while I freelance out there yah? I just pray that SIA will open their intake for stewards really soon... Ok, if anyone knows there's an opening, please do let me know. Hung out with Dawn and Miss Tan for the afternoon. Had some really good cakes at Toast. I just love their cakes... They are just so light and moist... Yum yum. Miss Tan's B'day was around the week so we bought her a treat at the pictures... The 2 aunties wanted to catch "Ella Enchanted", but thank god it was not showing at Lido and Ceni-lesiure. You see... It's a movie about this girl... who lives in a fanciful and magical world where all children are given a "gift" from a fairy Godmother at the moment of their birth. So her birthright is the gift - and curse - of obedience. As a result of this unfortunate circumstance, she cannot refuse any command, and is often left at the mercy of unscrupulous personalities. In a bid to regain control of her life, she goes on a quest to free herself from this mysterious curse. So it's this girl power thingy... Yucks! Don't you just hate this kinda movies? It's so sugar and spice and all that nice... So we randomly picked a film... And we landed ourselves with tickets to "Notebook". As this old man reads from a faded notebook to this old lady he regularly visits, his words bring to life the story of a couple, Noel and Allie who are separated by World War II, and the girls dictative parents, and they were then passionately reunited 7 years later, after they have taken different paths. Though her memory has faded, his words give her the chance to relive her turbulent youth and the unforgettable love they shared... Althought the film had a slow pick-up, it unfolded to become a really rich and moving movie. It's kinda like the movie "Frequency" if you asked me. Nice... I thought it was particularly sweet of Noel to read to Allie about their lives, relationship and all that they've been throught from his notebook, so that she will remember him although she suffers from dementia due to old age. Aww... Ha ha... I'm such a sucker for touching stories...
Oh well, that's it for today. I'm going to get back to my drawings. Till my next post... Ciao folks!
Shen out...

Tune for the day:
You Belong To Me
by Jason Wade
See the pyramids along the Nile
Watch the sunrise from a tropic isle
Just remember darlin' all the while,
You belong to me.
See the market place in old Algiers
Send me photographs and souveniers,
Just remember when a dream appears,
You belong to me.
I'm always so alone without you,
Maybe you'll be lonesome too...
Fly the ocean in a silver plane,
See the jungle when it's wet with rain.
Just remember till you're home again
You belong to me.
Always so alone without you,
Maybe you'll be lonesome too...
Fly the ocean in a silver plane,
See the jungle when it's wet with rain.
Just remember till you're home again
You belong to me...
