End of Hols...

It's the end of the hols for me before I get my ass back to slaving at work... Looking forward to it. Miss working loads...

Last Sunday, the Slumber bunch hung out at Ice Cold Beer at Emerald Hill to celebrate Daniel's belated 25th B'day... [ He was away on reservist you see... So we had to do it later. ] The day was also arranged to welcome Jason Chee back from his hiatus, whilst he was away in Australia for school. It was good to see everyone after so long. Lena, missed out due to work commitments... We'd see you real soon ok?

Came thursday, Hendry & Jane asked Leonard ( Duckie ), Lena and me-self over to their new place for dinner... Thanks for preparing the pasta, vege ( I daresay the combi of carrots and sesame seeds were particularly refreshing! ) Pukka! The night was just simply sweet... Here's what Leonard wrote in his blog which very much carried our sentiments for the evening - "There's something about meeting up with your old friends and just recollecting all those good old memories and have a good laugh at all the silly things that we did or talked about. Its also nice to just see where we've progressed what we plans we have for the future and most importantly, connect with each other again. Just 6 years ago when we were still at school, and 6 years down the road, things certainly have changed. We've all changed. We've all grown more mature, perspectives of life have changed, with each of us now walking a differnet path. But what was assuring though was how that bond among us have not changed much. Having to sit down and relive those funny and memorable moments brought back many good memories. We've all come so far, but look how we've all grown." [ Erm... Duckie, I ripped a whole chunk from your blog entry... Heh heh... Too darn lazy to write... Super tired and I got work tomorrow... Pai sehz... ] We should meet up more people! =) Oh yah... The dessert wine was good yah? Will get more of that next time... Hee...

Went to Asylum for launch of somethingy... Which I can't remember the name of the event now... It's shoes yah... Didn't see much of it since Nic wanted to just grab Dinner and scoot off home... Blimey... Caught the Longan Gang at Whatever Cafe, which is along Keong Siak Road across 37 ( the Bar ) ... They where having their company dinner at Amber in 1929. Travelled down to the Forbidden City Indochine at Clark Quay to meet up with Dan and his new colleague who's on his 1st week of internship from Lincolnshire, UK. Had an awful super-bland helluva drink - Pussy-foot. YUCKS!

Took part in the Build-a-Lomo thingy with Eugene on Sat morning... Uncle Kelvin, thanks-a-million for playing me out... Anyway, we had so much fun fumbling with the Lomographs & foto-clips as we went along building our Lomo Superhero... Didn't think we'd win... We were just crapping the whole time... Side-kick... Secret Weapons... and a Lomo-craft... But the folks at the Lomo Embassy seemed to like it... So we won the Fish-Eye Camera along with a pack of foto-clips and the circle-cutter... Heh. The whole experience reminded us of Art Lessons in the earlier part of our lives. I feel like a kid again.

After the competitiom, I hung out with the Longan Gang... ( IAD Folks ) in town... We were happy to hear that Donovan got into the next round of the SQ interview. Good luck bro... You can do it! Oh ya... Jacq, was officially proclaimed our resident Owl. So there's Zaihan - our reluctant Oak Tree ( Cos Wan wanted to be an Acorn... So he had to ditch the idea of being a cedar tree... But then again... Shouldn't you be a Longan Tree? ), Denise - the Tupai Pandai ( Smart Squrriel ) and yours truly is the Tupai Bodoh ( Stupid Squrriel ). Wan's the Acorn... Donovan and Fae are the flowers... Apparently, the bunch thought it would be nice if Hisham was the monitor lizard... But then again... We'd let you know once we decided... We stuffed ourselves silly with Sushi again... Went to Mustafa to hunt for a new shirt for Wan... Closed the day at 2.30am... Wan and I was super dissed to learn that the people at Mustafa kept cutting our queue by walking ahead of us to get cabs... Grr...

Sun...

Went tile hunting with Jerwen and Keng-Yum at Balestier... Was irritated at the limited range of tiles they have at the shop and with the sales assistant who kept insisting that the 'Designers' were really into ceramic tiles... ARGH!!! Like who are you trying to kid? Hello? Went to Ikea to check out some furniture with the 2 of them, before I went across the road to catch the Slumber Gang for Tze Char dinner at the Hawker Centre... Yum yum... After dinner, we went to check out Villa Bali at Depot Road for drinks... Nice l'il place that looks very much like Bali resort... With private huts and all... Neat... Just a l'il inconvenient to get to like PS Cafe and Rochester Park.

Righto... Think that will sum up my week in a very brief entry... Got to hit the sack... First day tomorrow... Wish me luck! =) Au Revoir!
