Not exactly a Sunrise... But it's still the trusty old sun.... This picture was taken after we closed one of our training sessions outfield... There was this really beautiful sunset, all the goon-dus were just sitting there lookin'... [ Not sure if they were looking at the tonner or the sun...] Anyway, we all froze, and posed... Aww... Love this shot to bits...

Is there any possibility for sunshine to last?

Lets not talk about eternal sunshine. We all know that the sun will burn out one of this day... Which we will all not live to see. I try not to think about that... It just way too awful. Imagine a would without light, warmth and sunshine... Brr...

Oh ya! And I thank god for the sun... For it's warmth and light... For allowing me to tan and get really "Chao-Tar"... [ That was awhile back... Now, I'm losing it already. Dang! ]

Anyway, this massive ball of fire is estimated to be at an average distance of 149,597,870 km (92,960,116 mi) from good old Earth and it has a diameter of 1,390,000 km (870,000 mi). Like most of the stars... this over-grown one is made up primarily of hydrogen (specifically, 71 per cent hydrogen, 27 per cent helium, and 2 per cent other, heavier elements). Just to note... It burns at almost 16 million K (about 29 million degrees F) at the centre of the sun, with the density is 150 times that of water. Talk about hot stuff!

Interesting huh?

And the folks at the extreme poles of the earth would get extended days... and nights... Depending on the season... Imagine the sun still up when you want to sleep... and it just doesn't go away till your place on Earth revolves to fall behind in shadow... You get that like for months and then it's the reverse... You get loads of nights for another season...

If I had to make a choice between sunshine and starry nights. I'd pick the sun anytime. It feels good to know that there is warmth in the world. Yup. And I am thankful that, we get a good mix of day and nights over here in Singapore. It's more cheerful this way.
