Entry 345

It's a running number day...

Third of April 2005

Yesterday, we, the IAD bunch went to the TP Design Diploma Show at Timberlux Center, which is across Gallery Hotel. Well, this year, the location was far better compared to last year's... St. James Powerhouse, next to World Trade Center. There were a few students from IAD that caught our eye... But, the rest of them didn't seem to shine as much... It didn't help when they desist when asked that they explain their projects to us... [ Maybe everyone else from the other courses are doing the same... ] Well... One thing is... I'm sure it wasn't a lack of space... But it was a shame that they were only allowed one A2 presentation board per student. I'm thankful that our year got 3 panels to each student. Oh well... The rest of the courses were ok... Well, actually I think that VSC came out rather strong this year. Loved their photograhy and illustrations...

After the exhibition... Wan took us to MOX. A nice cafe with retro furniture [ 'xcept for one lone IKEA retro-wannabe coffee table ] for an "alternative" kinda crowd... We ended up playing card games... Tai Tee, Heart-attack, some weird name game and bluff all the way till 2 in the morning... At times, the cafe had to turn up the volume of the music to strife our clearly over-enthusiatic screams. [ HHHHHAARRRR-ATTTTtttTTACKKKkkkk... ARRGHGHGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! ] Yes, they had to brighten up the lights above us too... And that was when the entire place was filled with loads of guys talking at the top of their voices too... and a few girls here and there... [ Mostly at our table of-course... ] and the single Drag Queen. Think they'd band us from playing card games there...

Closed the day with porridge, fried tou-fu and raw fish at Maxwell... Took a cab home and konked out...

ZZZZzz....
