>>> The 'Z' Monster attacks again

Thank goodness that weekend is finally here! Hee... This week, we - Zaihan, Denise, Donovan, Wan and his friend Faizal.. Or was it Faisal? Jacq & Shao Tong... and of course myself... found ourselves at CHIJMES for Guiness Comedy Night... Think it's Guinness with 2 'N's. What the heck... I don't drink beer... Anyway, yup it was Kumar and the Divas from Boom Boom Room performing. Somehow, it felt different from watching them do their stuff in CHIJMES and in Boom Boom itself. But all the same, they brought the house down with their jokes and colourful dance numbers... Had all of us laughing till our sides hurt so bad... Not only that... If it's the organiser's idea of selling more stout by making the audience stand for 3 hours straight... They'd be so wrong. Having lived off bread for the evening... We walked over to Kopitiam for a late dinner... and later Hisham came to join us with his band friends and we went to Selegie for Shisha... Which resulted in a rather painful round of "Murderer" and "007". By 3am, we where all in Zzzz mode so we decided to go home...

Saturday was fairly entertaining.... Went to town with Moh after going to site at Punggol. Met up with Pam for a bit before I finally took myself to CityHall to catch Ah Neo, Daniel, Lena, Mag and her sis to watch Audrey Tautou in her new film - A Very Long Engagement... The movie was filmed in a truly french fashion... Ok... Fine... They spoke french... Was almost heart-wrenching to see Audrey's character - Mathilde search for her beloved after losing him in a turn of events at Bingo Crepuscule, a trench dug-out at the war front... Reminds me of my literature text in secondary school by R C Sherriff - Journey's End... Anyway, the film was interesting in a different was compared to Audrey Tautou's previous film Amelie which was playful and light... Long Engagement was more heavy and sombre... Acting a young lady affected by polio was definately not easy... but she managed to fill the role... Save from the rather graphic scenes of people mutilating their hands with the rifles to be spared from fighting the war, and the rather ouchy murder scene of the General which involved shreads of broken mirror, the show could be just another tear-jerker... Like Won Bin's BrotherHood. Juste ne peut pas attendre le prochain film d'Audrey Tautou... Hâte svp! Merci beaucoup!

Yawn... ZzZzzZz Time!
